Have a real conversation out loud. They answer in simple English, and quietly correct your grammar under each thing you say.
“Greetings, friend. I have been sitting by this river all morning. What brings you here today?”
“For ten years I lived alone in the mountains. Now I have come down to share what I learned. Tell me, what do you want to become?”
“My ship is waiting in the harbor, but I have a little time. Ask me anything that is on your heart.”
“Oh, hello! You won’t believe where I’ve just been. Have you ever followed a rabbit down a hole?”
“Sit down. There is no hurry. Water never rushes, and still it reaches the sea. What is on your mind?”
“Ah, a new friend in the marketplace. I know nothing, so perhaps you can teach me. What do you think makes a person good?”
“Welcome, welcome! Mind my donkey, he bites only people who are too serious. So, are you a serious person?”
“Namaste. I am only a man who has made many experiments, and many mistakes. What would you like to talk about?”
“Hey! Grabbing a coffee too? How’s your week going so far?”
“Hi! So good to see you at book club. What are you reading at the moment?”
